Doesn't really pertain to GW in general but still an interesting read...especially if u consider that GW championships give out cash.

Anyone else wanna play more now?

The last GW championship gave out $50,000 for first prize. And that was split between 8 people. And those championships only happen once a year.

Guild Wars is not an ultra-competitive game with mass prizes, like UCT2004.

FPS games will and stay the number one competitive gaming sport in the world followed by RTS.
Becoz it takes no time to play at the same level as pro players, ie that you can pick up the game and immediatly play.
No endless grind till you reach a certain level with certain abilities.
What it does take it skill and that's something you can only work on by playing day after day after day.
Being an FPS player myself i can tell you its deffo no an easy task at hand to belong amongst the pro players (which i'm certainly not )

Those championships happen twice a year as far as I know.
